ERP Manufacturing Module

This documentation outlines the functionalities and components of the Manufacturing module within our ERP system.

Bill of Materials (BOM)​

BOM Table​

The bom table manages Bill of Materials for manufacturing products.

Fields:​

  • bom_id: Unique identifier for the Bill of Materials (Primary Key)
  • product_id: Foreign key referencing the finished product
  • material_id: Foreign key referencing raw materials/components used
  • quantity: Quantity of each material/component required for production

Work Orders​

Work Orders Table​

The work_orders table tracks work orders for manufacturing products.

Fields:​

  • work_order_id: Unique identifier for the work order (Primary Key)
  • product_id: Foreign key referencing the product to be manufactured
  • quantity: Quantity of the product to be produced
  • scheduled_start_date: Scheduled start date for production
  • scheduled_end_date: Scheduled end date for production
  • status: Current status of the work order (e.g., planned, in progress, completed)

Work Order Steps​

The system maintains steps involved in manufacturing processes.

Fields:​

  • step_id: Unique identifier for the step (Primary Key)
  • work_order_id: Foreign key referencing the associated work order
  • description: Description of the manufacturing step
  • machinery_required: Machinery or equipment needed for the step
  • labor_required: Labor required for the step
  • duration: Time duration for completing the step

Inventory Management​

Inventory Transactions​

The system records inventory transactions related to manufacturing.

Fields:​

  • transaction_id: Unique identifier for the transaction (Primary Key)
  • product_id: Foreign key referencing the product involved in the transaction
  • transaction_type: Type of transaction (e.g., receipt, issue, transfer)
  • quantity: Quantity of product involved in the transaction
  • location: Location of the inventory (e.g., warehouse, production floor)
  • transaction_date: Date of the inventory transaction

Quality Control​

Quality Control Checks​

The ERP system conducts quality control checks during manufacturing.

Fields:​

  • qc_id: Unique identifier for the quality control check (Primary Key)
  • work_order_id: Foreign key referencing the work order related to the check
  • check_description: Description of the quality control check
  • defects_found: Details of any defects found during the check
  • resolution: Resolution or actions taken for the defects

Production Planning​

  • Capacity Planning: Determines the production capacity based on resources available.
  • Scheduling: Schedules manufacturing processes to optimize resources and meet demand.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocates machinery, materials, and labor for production.
